Living the Cream New Mom
Living the Cream is a small business out of Buffalo. The guy is churning up some masterpieces out of his own kitchen. I luckily found him off Instagram due to his love of eating America's finest ice cream. His homemade ice cream has a lot of praise due to the fact he makes everything from scratch.
New Mom is labeled as " Salted vanilla bean ice cream, soft fudge chunks, PB swirls, and dark chocolate covered espresso beans."
Living The Cream has a dense thickness in his ice cream, even without using eggs. Vanilla Bean is a unique flavor. Vanilla bean is used in flavoring most desserts, including ice cream, custard, cake, candy, and pudding. I also find it as one of my favorite coffee creamer flavors. The richness and purity of this base are phenomenal. The extra hint of salt makes the flavor pop.
The soft fudge chunks don't pack the density his brownies do but provide a different element and a thicker mix-in. The fudge does melt in your mouth but has a bit of a bite to it since they are thick in nature. Living the Cream is not shy when it comes to pooling swirls from side to side and top to bottom. His peanut butter swirl is thick in nature with the right amount of salt in the aftertaste. The dark chocolate-covered espresso beans are not a common mix-in for the ice cream game. While I love coffee, the bitterness from the dark chocolate coating is brilliant. The espresso provides the correct bitter to a sweet ratio like you would expect drinking the beverage.
I really like how each element comes together in this ice cream. The chocolate-covered espresso beans are unique, but the extra hint of bitterness makes the fudge stand out. The peanut butter swirls are always phenomenal from Living the Cream, and the vanilla bean base is stellar. This is one of his best creations that is a must-scoop.
