High Road Peanut Butter & Chocolate Ice Cream Sandwiches
High Road Peanut Butter & Chocolate Ice Cream Sandwiches are frozen desserts available online and in local grocery stores. My local grocery store (Wegmans) just picked these up and I heard a lot of great things about them. Coolhaus and Graeter's Chip Wheelies are usually my go-to's, but I am always open to trying new things that hit the ice cream market. This novelty is two peanut butter cookies sandwiched between chocolate ice cream.
Just opening the package these are massive sandwiches with very soft cookies. You may think a frozen dessert would leave the cookies dry and hard, but that is not the case here. The cookies taste freshly baked and have a soft, crumbly consistency to them. The rich peanut butter flavor pairs well with a salty aftertaste to give you the best of both worlds.
The chocolate ice cream is truly chocolate ice cream, very, very rich and on the verge of being dark. The chocolate ice cream is smooth and delicious with a flavor that leans more towards milk than dark, especially when eaten in tandem with the peanut butter cookies. As the ice cream tempers, the smooth and creamy chocolate provides the famous American chocolate and peanut butter dream combination.
High Road offers a regular chocolate chip with vanilla malt filling that is next on my bucket list. After my great experience with this grocery cookie, you better believe I am going back for seconds. These come in packs of 2 cookies for $5. For $2.50 these are well worth trying out and picking up if you can grab them locally. Each cookie is 460 calories with 28g fat, 55g carbs, and 8g protein.
