Talenti Peanut Butter Fudge Sorbetto
Talenti Peanut Butter Fudge Sorbetto is labeled as "Rich, creamy, vegan peanut butter sorbetto with a decadent swirl of dairy free fudge." While this is very basic on paper the reviews have been stellar on the product. Talenti has some bumps in their lineup that are either great, or fall short of being executed well. Here is to hoping I did not take the bait and fall into hype.
Right off the bat you will notice the base is extremely dense. That is common with a vegan gelato or ice cream. After taking my first bite I almost dropped my spoon. I am going to say this right now as this is the best peanut butter base I have ever scooped. I would put it against any of the elite's (Salt & Straw, Ample Hills, Clementines) and this would win every single time. The base is so pure and there is a perfect amount of salt in the aftertaste. If you did not know any better you would think you are eating peanut butter directly out of a jar.
Talenti has never been know to have incredible swirls, as this flavor follows suit with their lineup. You can see small streaks along the outside of the jar, but that is about as much as you get. As you go down the pint you will get small spoonful's that are tickling your taste buds. While they are nothing to write home about they do provide another element that goes well with peanut butter. Chocolate and peanut butter are a match made in heaven, but the fudge just leaves more to be desired with how little you get.
Overall if you value great ice cream or gelato you will end up going back to the store and rescooping this multiple times. After reading all the reviews and how much praise this flavor got this is something everyone should get. The only downside is the small amount of fudge composed in the swirls. Besides that the peanut butter base is about as close to perfect as you can get. Peanut butter lovers rejoice Talenti just knocked this one out of the park.
