Little G's MdoughW White Chocolate Macadamia Nut
Little G's MdoughW White Chocolate Macadamia Nut is labeled as "White Chocolate ice cream with sugar cookie MdoughW pieces and toasted macadamia nuts". MdoughW is a company out of Miami, Florida that specalizes in a cookie/brownie hybrid. Doughies are the original cookie cup stuffed with your favorite treats. You name it - brownies, cookies and cream, oreos, salted caramel, guava - we’ve stuffed it inside a gooey, fully-cooked doughie by MdoughW. After having the white chocolate chips in the Red Velvet MdoughW pieces I was hoping the base would be just as good!
The white chocolate base seemed to be lacking the sweetness of true white chocolate. The density and creaminess of the ice cream was very good as are all the Little G Ice cream flavors as Grace has added plant stabilizers to help the thickness and prevent the ice cream from getting freezer burn during the shipping process. What was lacking was the amount of flavor associated with white chocolate. I almost thought I was eating a lack luster vanilla ice cream base as I dug deeper into the pint.
The sugar cookie MdoughW pieces were amazing due to the chewiness, density, and quality associated with the brownie and cookie mix. The sugar cookie aspect was totally lost just like the base. The sweetness was no where to be found as I thought her sugar cookie cookie dough pieces packed more flavor then these cookies. I only ended up with around 4-5 of these cookies throughout the whole pint, but they were absolutely massive in size. The macadamia nuts I found no "toasted" flavor to them, as they appeared to taste just like they came from a bulk aisle in a local whole foods. The only complain about the nuts is the size of them. Some nuts are so large it gets hard to chew and break on your teeth. I personally thought both mix-ins could of used some work to really help this pint out.
After reading lots of reviews this one was towards the bottom and I now see why after digging in and experiencing it myself. The base needs more sweetness just like the MdoughW cookies. The nuts need to be smaller in size and provide a toasted aftertaste which I did not pick up on. I personally thought this had a lot of potential with this being one of my favorite cookies, but it was a big miss
