Little G's Ice Cream Puppy Chow
Little G's Ice Cream Puppy Chow is labeled as "Peanut Butter ice cream with chocolate peanut butter fudge swirl and puppy chow pieces"
Little G's peanut butter base needs to be used more often. To be a straight shooter it is pretty darn close to scooping peanut butter out of a jar. The creaminess and the slight salty aftertaste is on point. The overall presence of eating fresh peanut butter is duplicated into ice cream to a T. I would have to say this is one of my favorite bases off her line.
The Puppy chow pieces. Lets let the pictures do the talking here. Was there ever a spoonful that did not have any? No. Did they pack a ton of flavor and crunch? Yes. Was there anything missing? Yeah just a touch. The slight sugary aftertaste on puppy chow could of been stronger. A few of the pieces started to fade in flavor (slightly stale). The real star of the show that swirl. When you strike a good swirl on a Little G pint it is gold. Just like Fudge Brownie the fudge swirl has an incredible amount of chocolate flavor. The thickness and consistency pairs perfectly with the puppy chow. Considering the 2nd half of this pint was almost all swirl it was like a fudge ribbon.
Tons of swirl, lots of puppy chow, and a killer base. I have to say this one shocked me. I was going into this pack of flavors thinking this would be 3rd or 4th in my top list before scooping, but I was wrong. With how dense that swirl was (Little G's best attribute IMO), and how many pieces of puppy chow there was I was incredibly pleased. A few stale pieces knocked down the grade on this one.
