Coolhaus Caramia Lehrer
Snickerdoodle Cookie + Sea Salted Caramel Ice Cream
I have never had a Coolhaus Cookie before but after seeing some good reviews from multiple users that I had to pick these up and give them a try.
Luckily I was in Columbus and a local Giant Eagle had them in stock so I got to pick up Mint and SnickerDoodle and give them a shot.
The first thing I noticed was these cookies were a bit firm out of the freezer, had a nice thick cookie and a huge layer of ice cream similar to that of a Jeni's Cookie or Graeters Cookie that I have seen in their shops which seemed like a Bonus. Kcal Wise they are around 500kcals this one topping in at 215kcals per serving (2 in a cookie), 10g Fat, 28g Carbs and 5g Protein.
The cookie reminded me of a fresh SnickerDoodle fresh from a bakery that was loaded in Cinnamon Sugar flavor and had a small buttery aftertaste from a regular cookie that made it absolutely fabulous. Once you get to taste the sea salt caramel ice cream blended in the center it is a perfect compliment and match for a fresh, warm, and delicious snicker doodle cookie. The overall taste and flavoring of a cookie for 420 kcals a whole thing is absolutely remarkable, and something I would highly suggest.
The soft, gooey cookies retained somewhat of a doughy feel and were packed with cinnamon sugar flavoring; an aspect that was only amplified once the salted aspects of the caramel ice cream came into play. Each bite brought together a plethora of tastes and textures that were very well balanced. The cookie to ice cream ratio in the sandwiches of Coolhaus are ideal in our eyes and include enough enough ice cream to offset the use of two cookies. We loved the previous two combinations we've had from this company, but the salted caramel and snicker doodle duo is the best we've had up to this point.
