Caffe Panna Best Damn HazelnutCaffe Panna's goal is to bring that same welcoming spirit and all-day accessibility to the heart of New York City, with an emphasis on delicious ice cream that marries elements of both Italian and American traditions. Best Damn Hazelnut is labeled as " Piedmontese hazelnut ice cream, hazelnut chocolate ganache swirl, nutty shortbread crunch made with @bestdamncookies hazelnut linzers." The Piedmontese Hazelnut ice cream is absolutely fantastic. Caffe Panna found a way to take a common nut-based flavor into a frozen dessert. Hazelnut is deeply nutty and has a lingering buttery taste in the backend. The base is creamy, super-premium, and has a sweet but balanced elegant rich flavor due to the purity of the ingredients. The shortbread crunch is an unrefined Caffee Panna mix-in The combination of butter, sugar, shortbread cookies and salt is all that is needed to make this masterpiece. The extra hint of salt from the graham crunch amplifies the graham-infused marshmallow swirl to make it stand out even more. The Best Damn Cookies hazelnut linzers add an extra nutty flavor with a crunchy texture. The cookies have a nice texture and chew to them as they stay fresh in the ice cream. The hazelnut chocolate ganache swirl steals the show as is consistent from top to bottom. The chocolate flavor is bold, rich, and dense with the hazelnut flavor hitting the backend of your taste buds. This is a flavor that took me by surprise and is the sleeper of the return pack to Goldbelly. This is the same base as found in Nocciola Buns, but with a far different profile of mix-ins. The crunch, cookies, and swirl are all fantastic elements that round off a unique flavor. Grade: A- Found: Caffe Panna New York, New York

Caffe Panna Butter UpCaffe Panna's goal is to bring that same welcoming spirit and all-day accessibility to the heart of New York City, with an emphasis on delicious ice cream that marries elements of both Italian and American traditions. Butter Up is labeled as "Smooth brown butter ice cream layered with a buttery crunchified version of the best (and simplest!) Girl Scout cookie". The brown butter base is unique and the perfect complement to a cookie mix-in pint. The richness of the butter is paired with a toasted flavor that has a nutty bite to it. Due to having such a high buttermilk fat, the ice cream balance of cookies and brown butter is dead-on delicious. While brown butter is a rare ice cream base on the market if there is a company to pull it off it is Caffe Panna. Trefoil Girl Scout Cookies are shortbread cookies are made of flour, sugar, eggs, and butter they are very simple cookies yet executed to perfection. The soft texture of the cookies leaves a luscious shortbread flavor when you bite into them. What boggles my mind is how fresh they stay when frozen in ice cream. Cookies can turn to rocks when frozen in a dessert, especially when they are not coated. The flavoring is not too sweet but has enough punch to really add a great flavor to the dominant ice cream base. This is a very generic flavor for Caffe Panna. While it is not something I would reach for all the time, if you prefer a simple yet well-executed flavor this is the flavor for you. I would like to see a swirl or an additional mix-in to compliment the girl scout cookies. Grade: B- Found: Caffe Panna New York, New York

Caffe Panna Graham Central DedicationCaffe Panna's goal is to bring that same welcoming spirit and all-day accessibility to the heart of New York City, with an emphasis on delicious ice cream that marries elements of both Italian and American traditions. Graham Central Dedication is labeled as "Vanilla bean brown sugar graham cracker ice cream, our signature buttery graham crunch, chocolate honeycomb crunchies, and a graham infused marshmallow swirl. A dedication to one of our favorite pint flavors from Handel’s ice cream" The vanilla bean brown sugar graham cracker ice cream is a unique hybrid of multiple flavors. The vanilla bean is used in flavoring most desserts, including ice cream, custard, cake, candy, and pudding. The vanilla bean is present, but when Caffe Panna brings in a brown sugar graham element it just works. The ice cream is rich, bold, and packs a subtle cinnamon flavoring in the aftertaste. The brown sugar is a mere trickle in the back end to round out all three flavors. The graham crunch is a Caffe Panna special. The combination of butter, sugar, graham crackers and salt is all that is needed to make this masterpiece. The extra hint of salt from the graham crunch amplifies the graham-infused marshmallow swirl to make it stand out even more. The marshmallow swirl lingers on the surface it soon propels into massive pools as you work your way down the pint. The overall taste of the marshmallow is dense with an everlasting richness that pairs well with the graham infused addition Handels Graham Central Station is my all-time favorite pint they make. Hallie is making this a strong case with her spin-off at Caffe Panna. An unrefined base, quality mix-ins, and massive swirls. She just does not miss. Grade: A Found: Caffe Panna New York, New York

Caffe Panna Sweet DoughCaffe Panna's goal is to bring that same welcoming spirit and all-day accessibility to the heart of New York City, with an emphasis on delicious ice cream that marries elements of both Italian and American traditions. Sweet Dough is labeled as "Callebaut Chocolate chip studded brown sugar and Heilala vanilla bean ice cream with chunks of salted chocolate chip cookie dough. The base has molasses notes that bring out the depth in the dough that SweetDoughNYC makes for us!" The vanilla base from Caffe Panna is one of the best on the market. Caffe Panna's vanilla is luscious, rich, packed full of flavor, and has a premium density that is like no other. Even with boulders of mix-ins, it doesn't phase the quality of the base in each and every bite. The execution of Caffe Panna continues to improve in each pack they put out. The salted chocolate chip cookie dough was one of those things you wish never ended. The thick chunks of dough are soft, chewy, and moist. The kicker is the texture of salted chocolate chip coating that blasts your taste buds with a salty cookie dough element. The phenomenal base and mix-ins are an ideal one-two punch that goes hand in hand. Do you like cookie dough? Caffe Panna has included cookie dough in a few of their pints over the last few packs, and each time it gets better. The salted cookie dough element is by far my favorite over the cinnamon snickerdoodle found in CB Snick. A classic flavor that was done right! Grade: B+ Found: Caffe Panna New York, New York

Caffe Panna You WinCaffe Panna's goal is to bring that same welcoming spirit and all-day accessibility to the heart of New York City, with an emphasis on delicious ice cream that marries elements of both Italian and American traditions. You Win is labeled as "Everything you always ask for. So we obliged. Just promise you’ll still let us make other flavors. Milk chocolate ice cream with marshmallow swirl, caramel swirl, oreo brittle, and obviously Reese’s cups. Enjoy." The milk chocolate base is very similar to Jersey Jam, Chocolate Toffee Pistachio, and Chocolate^5. A basic chocolate flavor, but has an additional element to make it pop. The base is creamy, dense, and has a sweet but balanced elegant rich flavor. If you are one to chase our a very unique chocolate flavor this base is just that. While it is nothing over the top it is executed to a T. The marshmallow swirl lingers on the surface it soon propels into massive pools as you work your way down the pint. The overall taste of the marshmallow is dense with an everlasting richness that pairs well with the caramel swirl. The caramel is salty, sweet, and thick. While it is not as thick as the marshmallow swirl its complimenting flavor pairs well with the milk chocolate base. The oreo brittle stays buttery and sugary throughout the experience. Each bite of brittle was delicious and had the perfect texture. We can't forget one of America's favorite candies with Reese Cups. These are exactly what you would expect with a milk chocolate coating and a rich peanut butter center. Call me basic, but everything in this pint screams delicious. Chocolate, peanut butter, caramel, marshmallow, and all the mix-ins. Caffe Panna does not skimp when it comes to quality control and this is a prime example of proper execution. Salt & Straw Salted, Malted, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
This is a staple flavor on the Salt & Straw menu that has taken over prior to COVID happening in 2019. This base flavor is one I have never scooped and something I have always had my eye on. Once the Vault Series was announced I had to use it to pair my 6 pack on the webpage. Salted, Malted, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough is labeled as "Made with the same malt you’d use to brew amber ale, our housemade cookie dough is perfectly salty thanks to two types of salt. Thick malted fudge rounds it all out." Salt & Straw has a dense thickness in his ice cream, even without using eggs. The vanilla is a unique one that separates itself from the ice cream pack. The richness and purity of this base are phenomenal. The extra hint of lusciousness in the backend helps spice up a modern flavor to an extent. There is a small kick of malt in the backend which puts a unique twist on this ice cream base. While most vanilla ice creams on the market are pretty bland, this one provides an extra oomph of flavor like Almond Brittle and Salted Ganache, which was originally on the Salt & Straw base line. Most people are used to regular cookie dough chunks or balls they find in the grocery store. The dough itself is delicious, soft, and flavorful cookie dough chunks that will cover 3/4th of the pint. There is an unrefined malt flavor that lingers on your tastebuds that provides an unorthodox taste on your tongue. It took me by surprise at first, but that is to be expected as Salt & Straw thinks outside the box. Last but not least the fudge swirl includes a rich and brownie batter like flavor that is extremely gooey. The fudge is so thick that is pools from side to side similar to the regular swirls provided in every Salt & Straw pint. If you know one thing about Salt & Straw their swirls are their signature mix-ins. I personally found the malt used to enhance the cookie dough a fantastic and outside the box addition. Salt and Straw never lacks with a quality base and fantastic swirls. This is a classic flavor on the ice cream menu and for a good reason. I would have 0 issues ordering this one again on my next 6 pack from the webpage. Grade: B+ Found: SaltandStraw.com

Salt & Straw Roasted Strawberry & Toasted White ChocolateFor the month of February Salt & Straw has brought back their Vault series and best flavors over the last 11 years. Roasted Strawberry & Toasted White Chocolate is a favorites hail from Oxnard, so we gathered a bunch to show off their juicy, irresistible-ness in frozen form. Then, we added just enough sugar and heat to coax out some thickness and mixed in macerated fresh berries. Unlike jam, these maintain their texture and take on an almost fresh, icy quality in ice cream. Salt & Straw Roasted Strawberry & Toasted White Chocolate is labeled as "Caramelize white chocolate—it takes on a rich dulce-de-leche sophistication. Add vanilla, eggs, and cream to the golden-brown chocolate and you achieve an incredibly custardy ice cream that’s a perfect match for the bright California strawberries." The white chocolate ice cream is bold and rich in flavor. The white chocolate brings a strong aspect that surpasses what you would find in a normal grocery pint. The density of the vanilla in this flavor gives a rich luscious aftertaste. Salt & Straw did a great job masking any dullness associated with a base flavor truly shine. Many make a white chocolate flavor like bland vanilla. This has the extra oomph of flavor and a backend luscious aftertaste that is superb. The major mix-in here is the roasted strawberry swirl that is laced throughout the pint. The jam Salt & Straw provides is never shortchanged and pooling from side to side. The strawberry swirl packs an everlasting sweet and divine flavor to compliment the base white chocolate flavor. With how ripe and fresh the swirl hits your taste buds the richness is incredible even frozen into a dessert. Fruity flavors and swirls can be incredibly artificial, but this holds up extremely well from top to bottom. This is a very straightforward flavor that provides a base and swirl. While is not over the top unrefined like some of the other flavors on the vault menu Salt & Straw knows how to execute. If you are looking for a very basic flavor that provides exactly what is on the label this one is for you. This is a little too boring for my taste palate, but everyone is different. Salt & Straw Hunk-a Chunka PB&B
For the month of February Salt & Straw has brought back their Vault series and best flavors over the last 11 years. Chunka PB&B is a spin off of Elvis spening long nights with friends chatting the night away over a towering plate of PB&J-banana-bacon sandwiches. Since then, this combination has become a hit at sandwich shops around the country, and back in 2014, we joined rank. Much like The King himself, this is anything but understated. Salt & Straw Hunk-a Chunka PB&B is labeled as "Marionberry jam rockets through a spiced honey banana ice cream, but it's peanut butter that steals the show– we melt the peanut butter into a white chocolate to create homemade stracciatella, then drizzle it in for a showstopper fit for a King." The spiced honey banana is unliked a normal banana-flavored base. Being a consumer who is not fond of fruity flavors this one raised my eyebrow. When I took my first bite I was in awe how pure and rich the banana shines. Combine the spiced aspect gives this a burnt brown sugar enhancement that makes it stand out among the ice cream community. The Marionberry jam is a Salt & Straw signature swirl included in many of their ice cream selections. As you can see the marionberry swirl is flowing to the top of the pint and breaching the surface. The swirl is in globs, not just swirls, i mean pools of marionberry stretch from the top to the bottom of the pint. The swirl even amplifies in size the further you dig until the very bottom was a pool of berry swirl. The flavor is a mix of a dense raspberry with a bold aftertaste Lastly the homemade stracciatella of white chocolate and peanut butter is a match made in heaven. You get the luscious backend flavor of white chocolate with a bold and rich peanut butter flavor. The peanut butter and banana combination truly shines when paired together as you would expect from Salt & Straw. While this flavor is similar to "Happy Birthday Elvis" this is a slight deviance from this 2014 re-release. I personally like the inclusion of the stracciatella over the peanut butter cookie dough and bacon from Happy Birthday Elvis. It provides a better mouthfeel and mixture inside the ice cream without allowing any of the inclusion to lose its potency of flavor. I have never scooped this flavor until now, and this was fantastic. Grade: B+ Found: www.SaltandStraw.com

Salt and Straw Chocolate Caramel Potato Chip CupcakeSalt & Straw Chocolate Caramel Potato Chip Cupcake is labeled as "enamored with the malted, salted chocolate ice cream loaded up with bite-sized pieces of cupcakes frosted with chocolate ganache and soaked in coffee syrup to keep them extra gooey. Then we take things to a whole new level with handfuls of chocolate-coated potato chips and a generous ribbon of housemade caramel" . Salt and Straw made a small run in 2019 during the week of national ice cream day. The second it went live I put 3 in my cart to re-visit a masterpiece. Right after your first bite you can tell how unique the base is. While S&S has a fantastic chocolate base they took it to another level with hints of a salty aftertaste.Take salted caramel candy and a premium chocolate ice cream infused together.. While this base was different, it was so tasty that it was surreal. Salt & Straw executed this one perfectly when dense ice cream meats a salty compliment, but that is not the only sweet and salty going on in this pint. This flavor debuted in 2015 and soon rose to the top as a fan favorite flavor. If you ever had Salted Caramel Cupcake this contains similar mix-ins from that original flavor. The cupcakes pieces are extremely moist, fresh, but seemed off beat in flavor. For some reason these don't pack the same coffee flavor. The amount of cupcake pieces were hard to find in my experience. The chocolate covered potato chips provide the essential sweet and salty compliment that go perfectly with the base and the cupcakes. The potato chips are crunchy on the outside, packing a ton of milk chocolate flavor, and the chips were much saltier then I had in 2017. Since the chips are coated there is no sogginess when biting into them. It is like eating fresh chips out of a bag, but coated with that fabulous chocolate glaze. Last but not least S&S Is known for impeccable swirls, and this caramel swirl hit the spot. The sheer sweetness of the gooey and luscious caramel flavor hits your taste buds right away and does not stop until the very last bite. Folks, when Chocolate Caramel Potato Chip goes for sale on S&S webpage don't hesitate. It is hands down one of the best ice creams ever made in the industry. Luckily I snagged 3 pints, so I can stash a couple extra away for a rainy day. Hopefully the espresso flavor being off and the amount of cupcake pieces was just a one pint ordeal. Living the Cream Razzy Prezz RemixLiving the Cream is a small business out of Buffalo. The guy is churning up some masterpieces out of his own kitchen. I luckily found him off Instagram due to his love of eating America's finest ice cream. His homemade ice cream has a lot of praise due to the fact he makes everything from scratch. Razzy Prezz Remix is labeled as "Salted Pretzel Ice Cream, Raspberry swirls, chocolate covered pretzels, and Nutella bars." The first bite of the salted pretzel-infused base is spectacular. The base is very smooth, creamy, and has a mild salty flavor to it. There is a small hint of the vanilla-infused base with the dominant pretzel aftertaste. While this is not a flavor you typically see being made in the ice cream industry it leaves the door open for countless possibilities with mix-ins and additions to enhance the saltiness and flavor of the ice cream base. The chocolate-covered pretzels are done in the correct fashion. Heavily coated to prevent any sogginess, and heavily salted. The extra salt makes the mix-ins pop as well as amplifies the base flavor. The Nutella bars are huge chunks of fudgy, soft, and chewy bars. These are one of the best things Living The Cream has made with the sheer execution of the mix-in. Lastly, the raspberry swirl is pure, fresh, and has the correct tartness to replica fresh fruit pureed throughout the experience. Razzy Prezz is a flavor Caffe Panna made in the past with a different base and mix-ins. Living the Cream did a great job with a phenomenal base and top-tier mix-ins. Each piece to the puzzle comes together and makes flawless ice cream. One of the best creations Living The Cream has made to date. Grade: A+ Found: Living the Cream Buffalo, New York

Living the Cream Chocolate FluffernutterLiving the Cream is a small business out of Buffalo. The guy is churning up some masterpieces out of his own kitchen. I luckily found him off Instagram due to his love of eating America's finest ice cream. His homemade ice cream has a lot of praise due to the fact he makes everything from scratch. Chocolate Fluffernutter is labeled as "Chocolate ice cream, peanut butter swirls, marshmallow swirls, and salted peanut butter chocolate chip cookie dough". The chocolate base is very similar to what you would experience from Caffe Panna and Jeni's. A basic chocolate flavor, but has an additional element to make it pop. The base is creamy, dense, and provides an elegant rich flavor. While it is nothing over the top it is executed to a T. The salted peanut butter cookie dough chunks are soft, chewy, and provide a decadent mix-in. The salt needs to be stronger, but the peanut butter flavor is not shy on these cookie dough chunks. The marshmallow swirls are extremely thick, luscious, and have a blistering rich flavor. The peanut butter swirls are massive. The rich peanut butter is pooling from side to side as the consistency is second to none. If you are a person who absolutely loves swirls in their ice cream Living the Cream filled half this flavor with swirls. The rich chocolate ice cream paves the way for a good base and the inclusions do the rest of the talking. I will nitpick by saying the salt needs to be heavier on the cookie dough. With that small change, this would raise the grade of the overall experience. Grade: B+ Found: Living the Cream Buffalo, New York

Living the Cream S'more-e-doughLiving the Cream is a small business out of Buffalo. The guy is churning up some masterpieces out of his own kitchen. I luckily found him off Instagram due to his love of eating America's finest ice cream. His homemade ice cream has a lot of praise due to the fact he makes everything from scratch. S'more-e-dough is labeled as "Graham cracker ice cream, marshmallow swirls, chocolate chip cookie dough, and peanut butter chocolate chip cookie dough." The ice cream is rich, bold, and packs a subtle cinnamon flavoring in the aftertaste. Graham Cracker ice cream is rare on the ice creak market, but Living The Cream perfected it. Every single portion of the graham cracker was pure. The replica of a real cinnamon graham cracker is spot on. Many brands are used to regular cookie dough chunks or balls they utilize in their ice cream. Living The Cream also includes peanut butter chocolate chip cookie dough in this flavor profile. You get the classic cookie dough, which tends to give the base a slight upgrade in flavoring. The dough itself is delicious, soft, and flavorful cookie dough chunks that will cover 3/4th of the pint. The addition of the peanut butter cookie dough helps amplify a different flavor contrast to the big picture. The marshmallow swirls are massive, luscious in flavor, thick, and very sticky in texture. These swirls take away from the base and don't let the flavor shine to its true potential. A classic s'more may have more chocolate than what Living The Cream provides in S'more-e-dough, but the addition of peanut butter and chocolate chip cookie dough is genius. Think about adding a single Reese's peanut butter cup to your classic S'mores. Grade: B- Found: Living the Cream Buffalo, New York

Living the Cream Xmas Sugar CookieLiving the Cream is a small business out of Buffalo. The guy is churning up some masterpieces out of his own kitchen. I luckily found him off Instagram due to his love of eating America's finest ice cream. His homemade ice cream has a lot of praise due to the fact he makes everything from scratch. Xmas Sugar Cookie is labeled as "Cake batter ice cream, red buttercream swirls, doughy, buttery sugar cookie chunks & Christmas M&M's" The Cake Batter ice cream is immediately much improved over the basic vanilla ice cream offered by Living The Cream. You get strong luscious vanilla and extra pureness of cake batter in each bite. Think about buttercream frosting folded into vanilla ice cream. It’s really smooth, really tasty, and avoids coming off as too sweet. While the density and flavor are an upgrade, this cake batter base is one of the finest I have scooped. Just like with the bonus flavors, The red buttercream swirls are just like licking the frosting off the top of a cake but pooling from top to bottom in a very thick fashion. The swirl is creamy and packs a sweet backend flavor that plays hand in hand with the base ice cream. The M&M's are simply regular M&M's that give you a small chocolate addition. The sugar cookie chunks are unique and unrefined from Living The Cream. The buttery undertone from the sugar cookie chunk is present as a fresh baked good. The texture and chew on these are fantastic when folded into ice cream. This is one of Living The Cream's sweetest flavors to date and it will deliver. Overall I am very pleased with the execution on the base and swirls which steal the show. Grade: A- Found: Living the Cream Buffalo, New York

Living the Cream Bob's DoughLiving the Cream is a small business out of Buffalo. The guy is churning up some masterpieces out of his own kitchen. I luckily found him off Instagram due to his love of eating America's finest ice cream. His homemade ice cream has a lot of praise due to the fact he makes everything from scratch. Bob's Dough is labeled as "Vanilla bean ice cream, chocolate chip cookie dough, double chocolate chip cookie dough, peanut butter chocolate chip cookie dough, and oreo cookies & cream cookie dough." Living The Cream has a dense thickness in his ice cream, even without using eggs. Vanilla Bean is a unique flavor. Vanilla bean is used in flavoring most desserts, including ice cream, custard, cake, candy, and pudding. I also find it as one of my favorite coffee creamer flavors. The richness and purity of this base are phenomenal. Now the highlight of this is how Christian implements four different kinds of cookie dough. Most people are used to regular cookie dough chunks or balls they find in the grocery store. This also includes double chocolate cookie dough, peanut butter cookie dough, and oreo cookies & cream cookie dough. You get a classic cookie dough from the original cookie inclusion, which tends to give the base a slight upgrade in flavoring. The dough itself is delicious, soft, and flavorful cookie dough chunks that will cover 3/4th of the pint. The chocolate cookie dough was really rich and had a strong flavor that meshed the regular cookie dough and oreo cookies and cream cookie dough. The addition of the peanut butter cookie dough helps amplify the chocolate and vanilla flavors from the other inclusions and the base. The way Living The Cream can blend regular cookie dough, peanut butter, chocolate, and oreo flavors to congeal into a spectacular vanilla bean ice cream is fantastic. If you are a very straightforward mix-in junkie of cookie dough this is one you won't want to miss. Very basic but executed extremely well. Grade: B+ Found: Living the Cream Buffalo, New York

Living the Cream Blueberry Graham JamLiving the Cream is a small business out of Buffalo. The guy is churning up some masterpieces out of his own kitchen. I luckily found him off Instagram due to his love of eating America's finest ice cream. His homemade ice cream has a lot of praise due to the fact he makes everything from scratch. Blueberry Graham Jam is labeled " Graham cracker ice cream, Blueberry jalapeno jam swirls, chocolate covered pretzels, and PB-oat bars". The ice cream is rich, bold, and packs a subtle cinnamon flavoring in the aftertaste. Graham Cracker ice cream is rare on the ice creak market, but Living The Cream perfected it. Every single portion of the graham cracker was pure. The replica of a real cinnamon graham cracker is spot on. The chocolate-covered pretzels are done in the correct fashion. Heavily coated to prevent any sogginess, and heavily salted. The extra salt makes the mix-ins pop as well as amplifies the base flavor. The PB Oat bars remind me of Living The Creams chocolate no-bake inclusions. The chewy mix-in is incredibly rich and has a soft texture to them. The peanut butter element provides a unique element to the graham and blueberry dominant pint. The blueberry jalapeno swirls are incredibly unique. The heat does not hit you until the back end of the tastes from the rich, luscious, and dense blueberry flavor. The swirls as always are never lacking and pool from side to side as expected from Christian. This one took me by surprise. I am an avid fan of the graham base and chocolate-covered pretzels. The blueberry swirl was an unrefined stab at making an off-the-wall mix-in and it works. Blueberry pairs very well with chocolate, peanut butter, and graham to make an unordinary combination work. If you don't like spice or heat in your ice cream this one is not for you. Grade: B+ Found: Living the Cream Buffalo, New York

White Trash is labeled as "White Chocolate ice cream, chocolate covered pretzels, Christmas M&M's, and salted PB chocolate chip cookie dough." The white chocolate ice cream is bold and rich in flavor. The white chocolate brings a strong aspect that surpasses what you would find in a normal grocery pint. The density of the vanilla in this flavor gives a rich luscious aftertaste. Living The Cream did a great job masking any dullness associated with a base flavor truly shine. Many make a white chocolate flavor like bland vanilla. This has the extra oomph of flavor to help the mix-ins shine. The chocolate-covered pretzels are done in the correct fashion. Heavily coated to prevent any sogginess, and heavily salted. The extra salt makes the mix-ins pop as well as amplifies the base flavor. The PB chocolate chip cookie dough has a classic cookie dough texture with a backend peanut butter and chocolate flavor. The combination is the true American classic which pairs perfectly with the chocolate-covered pretzels. The M&M's are just basic M&M's with an extra kick of chocolate to piece all the mix-ins together. If you are a basic B and just love a lot of candy thrown together into a fantastic ice cream base this one is for you. Living the Cream PB & JLiving the Cream is a small business out of Buffalo. The guy is churning up some masterpieces out of his own kitchen. I luckily found him off Instagram due to his love of eating America's finest ice cream. His homemade ice cream has a lot of praise due to the fact he makes everything from scratch. PB & J is labeled "Vegan peanut butter ice cream, strawberry pop tarts, yogurt pretzels, and strawberry preserve swirls." The vegan peanut butter ice cream is similar to real peanut butter out of a jar. When peanut butter meets high-quality ice cream you taste a high buttermilk fat content. The density is very thick as Living the Cream's bases are right up there like Salt & Straw, Caffe Panna, and Clementines. If I were to nitpick the base I would like a little bit more salt to really get this flavor to pop. Due to the fact this was vegan peanut butter, I did not expect it to taste as rich as a regular peanut butter base. The strawberry pop tart pieces are great. I personally like my pop tarts cold or frozen so these fit perfectly with the base ice cream. The yogurt pretzels have the correct amount of saltiness and melt in your mouth. The yogurt covering is just enough to prevent them from going stale in the ice cream. While they don't provide a lot of flavors the texture is perfect with the chewy pop tarts and gooey strawberry swirl. Christian rolled the dice with a fruity swirl as they can leave an icy trail and lackluster flavor, but he executed this very well. The strawberry swirl is ripe, rich in flavor, and has a luscious aftertaste. Some people are grape PB&J Fans, but I am always team strawberry. The classic combo of the childhood sandwich meets the perfect snack in a pop tart. Put those together with one of my favorite mix-ins which are coated pretzels are you are cooking with gas. This one gets one of the best grades from Living The Cream to date. Grade: A Found: Living the Cream Buffalo, New York

Living the Cream Dirty Snow
Living the Cream is a small business out of Buffalo. The guy is churning up some masterpieces out of his own kitchen. I luckily found him off Instagram due to his love of eating America's finest ice cream. His homemade ice cream has a lot of praise due to the fact he makes everything from scratch. Dirty Snow is labeled as "Malted vanilla ice cream with Oreo crumbles, Double chocolate chip cookie dough, and swirls of yellow buttercream frosting. Living The Cream has a dense thickness in his ice cream, even without using eggs. Malted vanilla is a unique flavor. The richness and purity of this base are phenomenal. The extra hint of lusciousness in the backend helps spice up a modern flavor to an extent. There is a small aftertaste of Oreo's to congeal a sweet cream spect that helps enhance what the bold vanilla base already presents. The chocolate cookie aspect is noted, but dull to the other underlying flavors the base ice cream provides. The dough itself is delicious, soft, and flavorful that is consistent from top to bottom in the ice cream. The double chocolate chip cookie dough is very rich and had a strong chocolate presence to help offset what the base provides. The swirls of yellow buttercream frosting are pooling from side to side. The extra kick of sweetness from the swirl provides a gooey element to the chewy cookie dough. Christian did a lot of work on his quality control with the swirl to base ice cream ratio, which has provided a better execution of his ice cream. To sum this flavor up take your basic vanilla cake and slab it with a thick sheet of frosting on top. Then crumble up Oreo's and cookie dough and churn it into a frozen dessert. Each element does a great job of giving you exactly what you expect. I really like how Living The Cream is taking a simple approach to his flavors and perfecting the execution. Living the Cream Holiday BuzzLiving the Cream is a small business out of Buffalo. The guy is churning up some masterpieces out of his own kitchen. I luckily found him off Instagram due to his love of eating America's finest ice cream. His homemade ice cream has a lot of praise due to the fact he makes everything from scratch. Holiday Buzz is labeled as "Mexican Hot Chocolate ice cream, dark chocolate espresso beans, and lightly spiced cinnamon yogurt pretzels". The Mexican hot chocolate ice cream is similar to a milk chocolate Hershey bar, but with a twist of cinnamon on the backend. The duo of flavors amplifies the dense and premium base to give the flavor extra flair to your taste buds. I am a huge cinnamon and chocolate combo fan, and this one really has a happy medium of both flavors. Neither one overpowers the other with a perfect balance. The dark chocolate-covered espresso beans are not a common mix-in for the ice cream game. While I love coffee, the bitterness from the dark chocolate coating is brilliant. The espresso provides the correct bitter to a sweet ratio like you would expect drinking the beverage. The cinnamon yogurt pretzels have the correct amount of saltiness and melt in your mouth. The yogurt covering is just enough to prevent them from going stale in the ice cream and enhancing the Mexican aspect of the base ie cream. You have to be a cinnamon and chocolate fan to truly dig this one. For some people, it is a hit, and for some people, they don't care for it too much. None the less I am a huge coated pretzel fan and the extra saltiness with the espresso beans is a hit for me. Simple yet well-executed. Grade: B Found: Living the Cream Buffalo, New York

Living the Cream Pumpkin Gone WildLiving the Cream is a small business out of Buffalo. The guy is churning up some masterpieces out of his own kitchen. I luckily found him off Instagram due to his love of eating America's finest ice cream. His homemade ice cream has a lot of praise due to the fact he makes everything from scratch. Pumpkin Gone Wild is labeled as "Graham cracker base, pumpkin spice caramel, pumpkin magic bars, and pumpkin oat bars." The ice cream is rich, bold, and packs a subtle cinnamon flavoring in the aftertaste. Graham Cracker ice cream is rare on the ice creak market, but Living The Cream perfected it. Every single portion of the graham cracker was pure. The replica of a real cinnamon graham cracker is spot on. When put into a dense, creamy, and high buttermilk fat base this flavor really shines. The pumpkin spice caramel is unique. The caramel is thick, gooey, and has a fantastic consistency that pools from side to side. The underlying cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove find in the spices congeal with a subtle pumpkin flavor to make an unrefined swirl. The pumpkin magic bars are similar to what was found in Bad Grahammer and the 7-layer bars. Both the magic bars and pumpkin oat bars are moist, thick, and chewy. The amount of flavor they provide that congeal with the base and pumpkin spices really makes them stand out on top of the sheer size of each mix-in. This is a stellar flavor. The graham base is one of the best Living the Cream makes and is one of the best I have had on the entire ice cream market. Combine the fact his mix-in game is never short-changed. The sheer amount of bars and swirl in this pint with a fantastic base sets this one up for a must-grab fall seasonal flavor. Grade: A Found: Living the Cream Buffalo, New York
