Mix in and Base wise, you really get two solid features in a company not one or the other. It just delivers.

And I'm sitting here drooling over the east coast stuff we don't have. New Orleans? nooooo, none, zip, nada... That, alone is enough, really. But you can also add: SoCo High Road Front Porch Phin & Phebe's Gifford's Very little Blue Bell The grass is always greener on the other coast. ? But it gives me a good reason to look forward to visiting family out that way. ^^^ I dont have any of those...

Talenti Southern Butter Pecan Going into this pint I was kind of guessing this would be a similar SSC base mixed with Pecans instead of Truffles like in the Sea Salt Caramel, so lets see what this had to offer. After looking at the side of the pint i saw a few chunks of pecans, i saw a nice looking Caramel Gelato Base, and a small dulce de leche swirl which was interesting. Upon Cracking the lid you can see a few nibs of a pecan and the fine gelato base. I must comment the base was pretty damn close to SSC in essnece that very rich caramel flavoring that is very soft from being a gelato. I have to say this was a great way to start the pint on my very first bite, so i have 0 complains as this was fantastic, its no Jeni's Salted Caramel IMO, but its still very good and probably my 2nd favorite behind it. After you dig into the first bite you can see that the pecans are small little chunks nothing like Graeters Chocolate Chips, but they are very small like when i had a breyers Chocolate Chunk Cookie Dough Quart in nearly every single bite they blend right into the base and provide a very nice flavoring and small crunch (they are not Ben n Jerry solid) but give a nice nutty flavoring to the base and pint which makes it a good mix. As you get down into the pint you start to get into the swarm of pecan pieces and i also had a few signs of a dulce de leche swirl in the mix as i saw on the side of the pint and as i got down to the middle/bottom. With my 2nd Talenti Pint i have to say the further you get down the more mix-ins you find, It becomes an absolute mine field of Pecans and its honestly sometimes a few in every single bite you take which is awesome. Talenti is really not shy when it comes to mix-ins as i have experienced on this pint and the Sea Salt Caramel. Overall i am not a huge nut lover, but this was a great change of pace with a very solid Caramel Base, loaded with good mix-ins and a small glimpse of a dulce de leche swirl A great way to mix all of the flavors to create a good pint that should be on the higher end of Talenti flavors based off the ratings from other consumers on the rest of their line. If you get a chance give this a crack its one of their best IMO after having only 2 flavors but reading a select few other reviews on the rest of the line! Overall score: B Found: Giant Eagle

Ben N Jerry's Milk and Cookies
Ben N Jerry's Milk and Cookies is a vanilla base with a chocolate cookie swirl, chocolate chips, and a chocolate chocolate chip cookies combination! Say that a few times fast and your head may spin. I like to mix up what i get and try from time to time and like variety so this was on the radar for quite some time to see how "Cookie" it really is compared to Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, and Graeters Cookies and Cream. Seeing these are all Cookie based and this is without cookie dough (Some of my favorite stuff ever) this will be an interesting comparison. Lets get onto the first bite and reactions. Upon popping off the lid it looks like someone took a Chip's Ahoy Cookie and smashed it into a vanilla based ice cream. I saw all tons of swirls, a bit of chocolate pieces, and swirls that resembled exactly what the label states. Most times when you get ice cream you have to dig through a few bites to get into the mix-ins and what lies underneath the beginning layer of the base, not in this case which is a good sign. On to the first bite. You do get the small hint of the vanilla base of BnJ's which is far superior to the chocolate and i also got a mouth ful of the chocolate cookie swirl, you get the small after taste of the cookie pieces with a good touch of chocolate from the swirl and chocolate chips which seem to be like little fudge flakes scattered throughout the pint. This is no Graeters when it comes to cookie pieces as you get sometimes half chunk of oreo's in your pint, but these are smashed up sandwich cookie pieces like a chips ahoy that is falling apart or part of where you may have dropped the container and the cookie fell apart. As you start to get towards the middle and bottom of the pint its pretty much the swirl and cookie/chocolate pieces that take over the vanilla base and just form a complete cookie base in essence. If you are a cookie lover this is right up your alley, but going back to comparing it to CCCD and Graeters i would have to give the edge to Graeters for base being superior and thicker cookie mix-ins, BnJ's gets the edge with amount of mix-ins and swirls because that is what they are known for, but if you love cookie dough go CCCD, if you like more cookie pieces and swirls than Milk and Cookies is for you because of getting exactly what you read! The overall effects of the pint and the mix-ins gives it that cookie kind of grainy taste which is very nice and refreshing. Overall this is a great change of pace from something caramel or peanut butter if you are craving cookies Overall Score: B+ Found: Wegmans Erie, PA

I have no access to BB, therefore this thread does not really exist. yeah same here, had 1 pint when i was in CO, and it was pretty good for the kcals. Not as rich as what you like (graeters, Jeni's) but for 200 kcals a pint and a lack of mix-ins, its not bad. Some pints list 4-5 mix-ins but they are very sparse.
