Living the Cream Big Biscoff Style
Living the Cream is a small business out of Buffalo. The guy is churning up some masterpieces out of his own kitchen. I luckily found him off Instagram due to his love of eating America's finest ice cream. His homemade ice cream has a lot of praise due to the fact he makes everything from scratch.
Big Biscoff Style is labeled as "Biscoff cookie ice cream, marshmallow swirls, soft nutella fudge chunks, and chocolate-covered biscoff toffee."
The base ice cream is pure gold when it comes to replicating speculoos. My best comparison would be taking Trader Joe's Cookie Butter and enhancing the density. The rich and creamy base provides an exotic flavor that smothers your taste buds with hints of gingersnap cookies and spices.
The marshmallow swirls are extremely thick, luscious, and have a blistering rich flavor. It was a smart move to do marshmallows as a swirl because mini marshmallows can become rock hard when frozen in ice cream.
The soft nutella fudge chunks are large, chewy, and dense, These cubed pieces of fudge go hand in hand with the base and mix-ins provided in this ice cream. The nutella is just as rich as the classic fudge chunks that had a decadent and luscious flavor to them. These are huge cubes that are super soft, even frozen into ice cream. The chocolate covered biscoff toffee is a bit rough in texture but gives this ice cream a dense and thick mix-in that pairs with the base.
The biscoff and chocolate hybrid flavor is fantastic. Throwing in the marshmallow swirl gives the chocolate addition a nice boost of flavor. The thick and gooey swirls go well the soft and hard mix-ins. Biscoff is a great base for many mix-ins and compliments, so this flavor is awesome.
