Living the Cream Biscoff Banana Bomb
Living the Cream is a small business out of Buffalo. The guy is churning up some masterpieces out of his own kitchen. I luckily found him off Instagram due to his love of eating America's finest ice cream. His homemade ice cream has a lot of praise due to the fact he makes everything from scratch.
Biscoff Banana Bomb is labeled as "Biscoff cookie ice cream, banana gooey butter cake, salted caramel swirls, and banana bread poptarts".
The base ice cream is pure gold when it comes to replicating speculoos. My best comparison would be taking Trader Joe's Cookie Butter and enhancing the density. The rich and creamy base provides an exotic flavor that smothers your taste buds with hints of gingersnap cookies and spices.
The salted caramel swirls are blistering through this flavor from top to bottom. The gooey, rich, and thick swirls amplify the base flavor and give you a sticky caramel taste that rips your tastebuds. The banana bread poptarts provide a chewy element that has an underlying buttery and banana flavor to go hand in hand with the buttercake. If you ever had butter cake from LTC you know the quality and texture is spot on. Super rich, chewy, moist, and packs a punch. One of his best mix-ins next to the buckeye bars in my opinion.
Banana is not usually one of my go-to flavors for anything, but the way it compliments the biscoff base and the caramel swirls is fantastic. The banana is not overpowering but just enough to show the density when its paired with everything in the big picture. Overall a good flavor, but that is because I am not the biggest banana fan.
