Living the Cream PB Oreo Max
Living the Cream is a small business out of Buffalo. The guy is churning up some masterpieces out of his own kitchen. I luckily found him off Instagram due to his love of eating America's finest ice cream. His homemade ice cream has a lot of praise due to the fact he makes everything from scratch.
PB Oreo Max is labeled as "Oreo ice cream with PB Oreos, PB Swirls, and PB Oreo Gooey Butter Cake".
Oreo ice cream is very tricky because you would have to provide the sweet cream of the sandwich cookie and the wafer into one element. Living The Cream's sweet cream tone is luscious, rich, and packed full of flavor. The base provides a thick and premium density that is right up there with some of the best in the game. Sweet Cream does not contain any eggs or vanilla. It is based on milk, heavy cream, sugar, and cream cheese. Even with the Oreo compliment, the wafer cookie aspect takes the backseat. For folks who enjoy Oreo milkshakes or an Oreo McFlurry from McDonald's take that and enhance the thickness and quality by a large margin.
The peanut butter Oreo pairs with the Oreo base. the filling of the Oreo and the milk chocolate cookie give this the classic one-two chocolate peanut butter punch. Living the Cream is not shy when it comes to pooling swirls from side to side and top to bottom. His peanut butter swirl is thick in nature with the right amount of salt in the aftertaste. If I were to nitpick the swirl I would like it a touch runnier and gooier.
The peanut butter Oreo gooey butter cake is moist, dense, and packed with a luscious aftertaste. The texture of the mix-ins is incredibly soft and provides the perfect chewiness to compliment the thick base. How you can still get the creaminess of the filling of an Oreo with the mixture of peanut butter is incredible.
This one is an experience. The Oreo base is great. It isn't as dense as some of the other offerings of the Living The Cream line, but when it tempers it gives that perfect Oreo flavor. Combine the peanut butter Oreos, butter cake, and swirls and this sucker is loaded. For anyone who loves their cake and peanut butter Oreos', well you get both in one dessert, and it's awesome.
