Living the Cream Strawberry Breakfast Goals
Living the Cream is a small business out of Buffalo. The guy is churning up some masterpieces out of his own kitchen. I luckily found him off Instagram due to his love of eating America's finest ice cream. His homemade ice cream has a lot of praise due to the fact he makes everything from scratch.
Strawberry Breakfast Goals is labeled as "Agave roasted strawberry ice cream, fruity pebbles crack, strawberry pop tarts, and fruity pebbles cookie dough"
The richness and ripeness of the vegan agave roasted strawberry are present from the very first bite. The ripe base provides a sweet flavoring that remains mild and mellow as the ice cream tempers. Fruity flavors are very hard to execute but Living the Cream did a good job, but have room for improvement. The strawberry needs a touch more density to really stand out.
The fruity pebbles crack is softer than peanut brittle in thickness but laced with a sugary sweetness that captures the cereal. Think of this like shards of cereal plastered together with a crunchy bite. It holds up well in the ice cream but has a strong texture to it that may be a little too tough for the average consumer. The pop tarts are as expected a childhood dream pastry crumbled and chunked into the ice cream. The Fruity Pebbles cookie dough is chewy, moist, and fresh to complement the crunchy crack laced throughout the ice cream. I like how the salt is toned down in this ice cream to help the sugary and sweet aspects shine.
Overall this is a good flavor with a ton of unique mix-ins. While these are some of the ones I have had in the past, he combined two of his strawberry pints into one and created an upgrade. With a slight improvement in the base, this one has potential.
