Little G's Easter Egg Hunt
Little G's Easter Egg Hunt is labeled as "Malted milk ice cream with mixed chocolate candy pieces". The candy pieces used were heath bars, twix, kit-kat's, and crunch bars. A few reviews have stated the malted milk ice cream is a replica of a robin's egg candy that you would buy in the grocery store. For anyone who loves a lot of mix-ins this may strike gold.
First bite and the reviews were correct on the malted milk base and a replica of a robin's egg. In my opinion the malted milk base is a nice step up from the original vanilla bean base. The best way to describe the malted base is enhancing a vanilla with a luscious milk chocolate aftertaste. Combine both together and it really sets this pint off. Since the malt is not very strong in the combination of the flavors having that little hint of flavor really makes everything combine together and executed very well.
If you have never had a Little G's pint before, then you sure don't know how much Grace loads you with mix-ins. Some people claimed there were too many mix-ins and it took away from the pint. Each and every bite is packed with crunchy chocolate pieces. In my pint I got a ton of kit kat's and crunch bars. The more I cut through the pint it lacked a lot of heath bars and twix's. While I found it unique that kit kat's were used in this pint, it has to be the first ice cream I have ever had them in.
If you are a huge fan of easter candy, and enjoy a unique base this will be a great flavor to pick up with the limited edition flavors. To me this ranks right along snack attack and movie night. Pints that are loaded to the brim and a good base. I personally prefer Grace's in house made mix-ins and swirls as my favorite aspects of her pints. Overall this was a good start to the spring limited edition flavors.
