Ben & Jerry's The Tonight Dough
Ben & Jerry's The Tonight Dough is "Caramel & Chocolate Ice Creams with Chocolate Cookie Swirls & Gobs of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough & Peanut Butter Cookie Dough" As you can see once i lifted the lid it was very apparent that the cookie swirl was loaded into this pint with lots of Cookie Dough.
Digging into the first bite I kind of had an expectation with the chocolate base (not being the best), and the caramel being a bit superior to the chocolate. While the Chocolate is a bit faith in flavor, and the caramel has a good luscious taste to it, this may have been better with a chocolate/vanilla mixture or a caramel/peanut butter base to compliment the mix-ins offered in here with cookie dough and peanut butter like in PB Half Baked. Probably the reason they stayed away from that and to be diverse with base flavors.
Getting into the pint the Caramel and Chocolate are not that bad together, but not the best base combination. The amount of Chocolate Cookie Swirls are overflowing in this pint which is very rewarding. The amount of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Peanut Butter cookie dough may lack just a bit compared to other pints. PB Half baked had more mix-ins than this one which would of put this pint at a much higher grade if they would of matched that.
Overall its a good pint, being an exclusive I had higher hopes. The base was not too bad. The Caramel gets the edge over the mediocre chocolate that lacks flavor. The cookie swirls were hands down the best part of this pint. Overflowing and swirled all the way from top to bottom that provided a great and dense flavor to the pint. The mix-ins on the other hand not as much as expected. PB Half baked provided more cookie dough and PB Cookie dough which i hoped to see just as much of if not more in this pint. Overall its good, but could use some improvement.
