Wegmans S'mores.
Upon getting this Pint, Wegmans had a 1$ coupon for 2 pints and the pints were already 2.39, so i am paying nearly 1.89 for a premium Pint that is filled with 330kcals per serving. After venturing into Nutter Batter and having a great taste, I figured why not get the other exclusive in "S'mores" to see how it stacks up. I have only read one other review and they claimed it was outstanding, so I knew this had to be a scoop!
Upon opening the lid you will see a nice smooth surface of Marshmallow Ice Cream, A small hint of a graham cracker swirl and nice little chips of chocolate which correlate to what the product states "Marshmallow Ice Cream, Marshmallow Swirls, Graham Cracker Swirls, and Chocolate Pieces". S'mores was everything and above that in this pint. I have to say the base was outstanding, it resembled that of taking a spoon into a jar of fluff and throwing it in your mouth. Wegmans has really stepped up their game.
As I continued to dig into the pint after the first bite I really started to see the graham cracker swirl and the small brown bits of it run down the middle and sides of the pint. The marshmallow swirls are very hard to pick up on because of the very powerful base which is unique and nothing like I have ever come across before. The small pieces of the chocolate bits you would cram into the middle of a smore are a nice texture, nothing very hard, but still give it a great bite/texture to the overall pint, not to mention the perfect compliment of a smores.
Overall this pint is everything you could want if you are a S'mores lover. Pass on the Ben & Jerry's this blows it away by a milestone. The Jeni's Roxbury Road (which would be the closest thing to a S'mores) on there line has great chunks of marshmallow and that divine dark chocolate kind of base, but this Marshmallow base takes this pint to the next level. It is basically eating a jar of fluff, throw in a nice thick graham cracker swirl (not as good as Turkey Hill's Pumpkin Pie), more Marshmallow Swirl (to add to the overpowering base), and nice little chocolate chunks and that is this pint in a wrap. After the Banana Peel-N and Nutter Batter I have to say Wegmans is giving other big name brands a run for their money. This one ranks up there with one of the best I have had like the Banana.
Score: A
