Caffe Panna Gingie's Pie
CaffePanna's goal is to bring that same welcoming spirit and all-day accessibility to the heart of New York City, with an emphasis on delicious ice cream that marries elements of both Italian and American traditions.
Gingie's Pie is labeled as "Graham cracker ice cream with pumpkin pie swirl and gingerbread crunch"
The graham cracker flavor is pure, and packs a subtle cinnamon aftertaste. Since Caffe Panna is not known to use graham crackers as a base this was truly unique. The cinnamon, brown sugar, and molasses flavors are all found in the base. This was an absolute home run on Caffe Panna's end, and I hope to see this used more often in the future.
The gingerbread crunch is a spin-off of a Caffe Panna special. The combination of butter, sugar, graham crackers and salt is all that is needed to make this masterpiece. The extra hint of brown sugar and molasses make this pop over the regular graham crunch. The pumpkin pie swirl is just like the base in Pumpkin Ranger. Not only is the pumpkin puree fantastic, the amount of cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove all pair together to make it phenomenal.
Gingie's Pie is a pumpkin pie infused into ice cream, and Caffe Panna has the golden ticket to make it perfect. I have no complaints on this one as it was stellear from first bite to last. If you love pumpkin pie, this is the flavor for you.
