Ben and Jerry's Boots on The Moooo'n
Ben and Jerry's Boots on the Moooo'n is labeled as "A Universal of Milk Chocolate Ice Cream with Fudge Cows, Toffee Meteor Clusters Orbiting a Sugar Cookie Dough Core. This is the 3rd of the 5th Netflix pints that are coming from Ben & Jerry's in 2020. So far Netflix and Chilled has been my favorite of the bunch, but will this one soon take the crown? Let's find out and give it a crack.
The Milk Chocolate base is the same as featured in the Target exclusive Peanut Butter World. While I am not a fan of their original chocolate base this is a massive upgrade. The density and creaminess of the milk chocolate provide a vast improvement that will have you digging back for seconds. If you venture through their original pints with chocolate you will notice how it comes off flat in taste. This is one of Ben & Jerry's best-kept secrets, and makes me wonder why they have only used this in two flavors.
The Fudge Cows have been seen in two previous flavors. They are very similar to the chocolate fish found in Phish Food. The cows are thicker in texture and have a melt in your mouth features that are superior over chocolate flakes and chunks. The unrefined toffee clusters are a nice change of pace on the label, but I never found any in my experience. The sugar cookie dough core was featured in Sweet Like Sugar Cookie Dough Core. The core is gritty on the surface, but as it tempers it provides a smooth texture and flavor. It is not over the top sweet, but a good compliment to a rich base. The only downfall is how the size gets smaller the deeper you dig, and it does not reach the bottom. Mine stopped half way through the pint, and sadly the only thing after that was a few cows and the base ice cream.
Overall this has potential to be a good pint from the Netflix Series. This pint could be improved if the swirl was consistent, and the toffee pieces were present. When it comes to the ice cream and mass production quality control is a hit or miss aspect. I personally would advise against grabbing this pint unless you enjoy trying new flavors. The brand has many better offerings out there, but I feel the consumer may have a much better experience then myself.
