Handel's Caramel Pretzel Crunch
Handel's Caramel Pretzel Crunch is labeled as "caramel flavored ice cream with caramel ripple and chocolate covered peanut butter filled pretzels!". If you are a sweet and salty lover this ice cream has your name all over it. Handel's is known for their in house ice cream, and their quality is very overlooked. Where does this one fall in line with their other top tier flavors?
The Caramel Base pretty much reminds me exactly of 2nd Street Creamery Kopper Kettle Caramel which was one of the best pints I have ever had. The density and boldness of the caramel is like eating the center of a milky way. With how creamy and smooth the flavor was I was blown away with the luscious aftertaste it provides. If you are looking for a pure caramel flavor, look no further as Handel's hit a home run.
I have never seen a Caramel Swirl so profound just on the top of a pint as I have in this one. The swirl enhanced the already impeccable base and got larger the deeper I dug. I almost thought Handel’s replicated a Salt & Straw swirl by how divine my experience was in this pint. The pretzel chunks were the size of Graeter’s Chocolate Chips. Not only were they fresh, but the added saltiness was the perfect compliment the amount of caramel provided in this experience. The peanut butter is stuffed on the inside of the pretzels which is thick and crunchy. It reminds me of Turkey Hill's swirls with how it has a rough texture to it.
This pint was a home run for the sweet and salty fans out there. At points throughout my experience I was eating nothing but swirl and pretzel chunks. Handel’s really loaded this pint as it clocked in at 480g in density. To this day I put this as my number one caramel pint I have had. An easy must purchase from Handel’s ice cream if you visit in store or online.
