Hello everyone I need some help.
Back in the 70s-80s I used to live in NY. Often times I would stop at my local Carvel and get an ice cream flavor called Tutti Frutti (not sure if it was spelled like that). I have since moved away and have not heard of this particular flavor of ice cream anywhere. From what I remember this ice cream was probably a run raisin ice cream w/ added cherry and pineapple in it. I've called some Carvel locations and their corporate office and no one seems to know of this flavor ever existing. So I am left wondering... 1. Is it just too old for them to remember? or 2. Was this a flavor specific to my location?
I have done some searching there are some Tutti Frutti variations, but not the one I am looking for.
So I was wondering if anyone remembers or knows of this flavor and if possible where to find it.
Thanks

My brother and his wife just had a hairy eyeball conversation about this very topic. Every Sunday after church ( if we were good ) in greenpoint Brooklyn we would stop the Carvel and get a 25 cent slice of heaven. I always got cherry vanilla but my brother Dan remembered my other brother James getting “ tutti fruity”. I can’t vouch for what’s happened to the flavor but those days although Very long ago are still remembered with such affection.

This was MY FAVORITE flavor as a child!! The carvel on East 2nd Street in Brooklyn used to have it. I think it was vanilla ice cream with pineapple, cherries and nuts
