Did anyone decide to celebrate America's independence with a little ice cream? I decided to go with Blue Bell's Homemade Vanilla, their all-American, all-time best selling flavor.

Controversy warning: I may prefer So Butter Pecan to the SSC by Talenti. Srs. Thought the same thing after I tried Butter Pecan, I have another pint in the freezer to confirm. Also Bam, it seems as though you got a lack luster pint regarding the swirl, deff pick up another one when you get a chance.

Talenti really stepped it up with their latest releases. Southern Butter Pecan, German Chocolate Cake and Argentine Caramel were all nicely done.

I think the Sea Salt/Argentine Caramel ruined it for me. But much better than Edy's German Chocolate.

But much better than Edy's German Chocolate. I completely agree, I could have sworn that the caramel swirl was a chocolate swirl while I was eating the pint. Only when I looked on their site at the description did I find out it was caramel

Oh good! When I blogged about it, the description wasn't up on their website yet. I felt so dumb about blogging about it after I found out.

But much better than Edy's German Chocolate.this was the first german chocolate ive ever tried. couldnt even eat more than 3 spoonfuls. ive been hesitant to try german choc flavors from other companies b/c of how horrible the edys one was.

Ha, I hear ya! I had the Slow Churned version, I don't know what they did to it but the coconut was whacked or something. Usually I love coconut but this was way too much. Don't be turned off all German Chocolate flavors by Edy's, that's the only one that's ever struck me that way. Talenti's was all right, only thing they should have done was include actual cake!
