I just purchased Cuisinart ICE-50BCA, brand new. It works fine if I ran only a single batch. It will freeze reasonably well, eventhough it took longer than advertised, about an hour. I fill only 2/3 of the volume. However, if I ran another batch immediately, it will not freeze! There are some solids, but it still very runny. Does it suppose to behave that way? I have to let it rest for nearly a full day before I can use it again. Or, do I got a faulty unit?

This model has a compressor so should be good to go immediately. Compressor models do tend to take a bit longer to churn but it sounds like the motor on yours might be overheating, preventing the freeze. Contact Cuisinart and ask their opinion. If necessary, send it back.
