Handel's Pumpkin Ripple
Handel's Pumpkin Ripple is "Pumpkin ice cream with a marshmallow swirl." While this is basic on paper, Handel's is known to make one of the best pumpkin bases on the market. Everything at Handel's is made in house and is a premium brand. While they are a chain in the North East, they also have shops that stretch down to Florida and all the way out west in Vegas. This a limited edition flavor, and I always find a way to trek down to pick some up when they are back in stock.
Upon the first bite you get a HUGE dense pumpkin patched flavor that also has an amazing cinnamon, nutmeg, and graham cracker taste that trickles down your throat It seems like every single bite you take gives you a thick tasting of Libby's Pumpkin that is full of cream and sugar. The amazing thing is how well everything compliments each other. With every single pumpkin spice you would expect something to take over, but each and every spice meshes together to form perfection. The ice cream is so thick and dense you would think it resembles custard.
The marshmallow swirl is thick and also very intense, with a dense yet fluffy texture that is pretty much as good as it gets when it comes to an authentic and delicious marshmallow presence. Once again Handel's is up there with the best of them on the market for taking their swirls to another level. Not only is the swirl lingering on the surafce, but the pockets emerge into thick chunks as you dig deeper into the pint. Handel's does not short change you on the mix-in consistency.
When it comes to Pumpkin ice cream, Handel's is damn near the top and my all-time favorite. With how rich, thick, and impressive the flavoring is of the base it surpasses anything any basic B would want in their life. Add in a thick, dense, and gooey marshmallow swirl you have a classic one-two combination. If you ever visit a Handel's in the holiday season you need this in your life.
