Did you see something sweet in the grocery store but weren't able to snap a photo? Here you can give everyone a head's up to keep their eyes open in case they're dying for that one-of-a-kind flavor you just spotted for the very first time.

Two things: 1. Tonight I found Mario Batali's Roman Cream Swirl, a mix of vanilla gelato with blood orange sorbetto, in my local Associated Foods. The best part is it was less than $3.50. 2. OddFellows Ice Cream in Williamsburg has posted on FB about having these new flavors in the last week: Beet and Candied Pistachios with Honey Goat Cheese, Peach & Chamomile, and Celery Sorbet. Pretty sure I'm not the only one in the NYC area who's heading there ASAP. After falling in love with Jeni's, I have to have more goat cheese ice cream! I lied: there's a picture after all.

Century Sundae by Blue Bell has been popping up at Walgreens and Winn-Dixie in my area. They also have strictly Strawberry (no vanilla and strawberries) half-gallons showing up, which I've never noticed before.

" Our most popular ice cream, Homemade Vanilla, swirled with caramel and chocolate sauces, a whipped topping and diced maraschino cherries." It doesn't sound nearly as good as some of their other options though.

Midnight Cookies & Cream just showed up at the Walgreens nearest my house. We even have Halloween candy out already. Seems the holidays are off to a really early start.

Loved Midnight Cookies & Cream. Nice change of pace from the standard cookies and cream especially since HD has a nice chocolate base. You'll have to let us know what you think of it.

Tonight I spotted Haagen Dazs Salted Caramel Truffle gelato, but I didn't realize it was brand new and bought the Talenti instead (safe choice). Now that I've done my research, I'm crossing my fingers they still have it in stock later this week.

I'll probably buy and review it eventually. Would be nice for it to go on sale, since regular flavors are $3.50 yet the limited or exclusive batches at the Walgreens are $5. :/

The price for a pint is definitely a downside of having to resort to a Walgreens for ice cream. Always $4.99 and above seems like.

The price for a pint is definitely a downside of having to resort to a Walgreens for ice cream. Always $4.99 and above seems like. It's even worse at gas stations and convenience stores. I shelled out over $6 for a pint of Mint Chocolate Cookie since I only saw it that one time. I had high hopes for it, but ultimately said "I can't imagine shelling that money out for it again." Every now and again Walgreens will have BOGO's like a couple weeks ago, which I snagged Truffle Trifecta and Milk & Cookies for about $2.25 a pint.

Gas stations are pretty bad as well. Unfortunately, that's the only place I've been able to score 2nd St. Creamery pints lately. Five plus dollars every single time once tax is included.

Turns out it was a good idea for me to wait. Got a look at next week's ad and HD are going BOGO. Looks like I'll be grabbing that and Pralines and Cream, since they're exclusives.

Saw a half-gallon of Krazy Kookie Dough from Blue Bell at Wal-Mart. Hopefully it'll start showing up in pints, since 90% of the time I feel large containers diminish the excitement of certain flavors.

Krazy Kookie Dough has been available in pint form for some time now. It was just this month that they started offering this in half-gallon sizes. Pretty fun flavor!

I just found a bunch of pints from a place called "Ruby Jewel". They're from Portland and just starting to be distributed by Whole Foods. They will be our store's first step into the high-end market ($7+) as they don't carry Steve's or Jenny's. ? I really have to have a talk with their ice cream buyer. ? I'll try to snag some pics next time I'm there. I didn't take notes for a review, but after going through several pleasant but mild mid-line local pints (Lopez Island and Whidbey Island Creameries), I was impressed with their intense flavors. I'm definitely going back for more.

Even here in NYC, Jeni's is something I only come by rarely. I imagine Ohio stores would have it, but I wonder if it makes it into Whole Foods anywhere outside the local area.

You can get a good selection of Jeni's in BK in Brooklyn Fare and Gourmet Fresh (Court st).

I've seen people mention it online in other states: Pa, Va, Md, Ks, Ky, IL (even a Jeni's opening in Chicago?) and some I forgot. Though sometimes, from people searching outside Ohio, I'll read comments saying "it's at my Whole Foods!"' But they don't give their location.
My bro saw it at Fresh Market in Md and it's also at the Cube Market in Los Angeles.
I know I'm very lucky to have any access, I just wish they had more flavors.

How far from OH are you? If it's just a couple of states I don't think they charge a terrible price for shipping.
