Little G's Peanut Butter Marshmallow
Little G's Peanut Butter Marshmallow is labeled as "Peanut Butter Ice cream with a marshmallow swirl and mini peanut butter cups." All 3 of these elements are things that piqued my interest on Grace's line. Now putting them all together how would this one congeal? Hopefully just as good as some of my previous PB based pints on her lineup!
The Peanut butter base flavoring is not as strong as eating peanut butter out of a jar, but congeals the creaminess and flavor of peanut butter very well. The only small factor that may be missing is a salty aftertaste found in true peanut butter. Grace may have been going with a bold peanut butter when formulating this base, and with that said she did a good job. I personally enjoy her Peanut Butter base and hope to see it in more pints in the future.
The marshmallow swirl has a very sweet aftertaste and a bold flavor that really strikes you after digging into the peanut butter base. The swirl was heavy on the first portion of my pint, but soon after faded away pretty fast. I would of liked to of seen it stay strong throughout the entire experience, but that did not happen. The mini peanut butter cups she did reformulate and do from previous batches of flavors and it was for the better. These are melt in your mouth soft and have a very nice milk chocolate outer coating and sweet peanut butter filling. These remind me of the little peanut butter cups you can buy at grocery stores and gas stations, but with a kick of saltiness and sweetness to the filling.
Overall a well done pint, but with a swirl from top to bottom this would of been my favorite of the 3 that were added to the original lineup. The PB cups and base are both good, but you can't always get a consistent pint from top to bottom when everything is hand packed. None the less if you can grab this pint I highly suggest getting 1 if not two of them if you enjoy Little G's peanut butter base. The swirl and cups are an added bonus!
