My wife and I fondly remember bomb pop from our youth with an inner layer of cherry ice/ice cream covered with an outer layer of banana ice/ice cream covered with milk chocolate. This pop was available (60's - 70's) in sweet shops in the metro NY/NJ area. Does anyone recall this pop and remember what it was called?

THANK YOU! I'm so glad somebody else remembers that pop. I was beginning to think I was nuts. I, too, remember that delicious confection. I used to buy it at our little corner grocery store in Queens, NY. I wish I could help with the name, but I definitely remember the product. That particular store sold mostly Popsicle and Hershey Ice Cream products (my Dad loved Hershey pineapple ice cream!)...perhaps it was made by one of those companies at that time. I remember that the ice cream was super hard. Cherry, banana, and chocolate...a banana split on a stick. Thanks for the memory :-)
