Not breaking news obviously as I've no doubt that everyone here has already seen the announcement.  This was available in scoop shops last year, along with the Spumoni flavor. Both of which were a little underwhelming IIRC.   That said, I am a fan of butterscotch flavor, I just wish there was one more element added to this flavor. |

Yeah it does look weak, its probably no where close to a jeni base or a steve's base.

It looks to me like a different flavor than, although similar to, last year's scoop shop Butterscotch test batch.
My impression was that it didn't so much contain a liquid butterscotch swirl, as a swirl of unappealing crunchy bits. I could be completely wrong here, but the swirls in the photos I've seen so far of Scotchy Scotch Scotch appear to have a bit more substance to them than last year's test batch.

Look at the pint label and then at the label from the scoop shop (I assume they are loading for everyone else and not just me): Butterscotch ice cream with butterscotch swirls. |
